Our Primary Purpose
You might say that advertising and public relations have been the sub-context of my life.. My parents met at NBC ...”30 Rock”...in 1947 when my father was an account executive for two of the largest syndicated radio programs of the day, The Dennis James Show and The Peter Donald Show. My mother was a secretary responsible for compiling NBC’s ASCAP royalties for songwriters.
The common denominator seems to be that they are all highly creative people who need a strong financial foundation in order to keep on working at higher levels in the creative occupations.
People in the so-called “creative” fields tend to be either self-employed and thus must structure their own retirement and benefit packages or they change jobs frequently and have to roll-over their retirement into their own plans and re-configure their benefits as they move from one job, or agency to another.
Also, many creative people tend at some point in their careers to be on their own in either sole proprietorships or partnerships . . . and their greatest need becomes having a plan in place to REALIZE the equity they have in their business.
The biggest benefit I have to offer is that when clients in advertising or public relations confide to me about their careers and what they are trying to achieve and the difficulties in the way . . . “I Get It” . . . and understand most of the subtleties and nuances of what they are telling me.
My firm, Creative Capital Group is a boutique wealth management firm. We are extremely adept at translating important “left brain” financial concepts for professionals with highly creative “right brain” minds. Perhaps this is a skill other financial advisors at a local brokerage firm, or bank, may not possess.
