Robert E. Hamill
Senior Market Strategist
After graduating with a business degree from the University of Vermont, Rob received his training originally in the commodities market of 1979 when gold and silver made their first big moves. He studied with Don Knauss who at that time was the leading commodity broker in the country.
Rob and Todd Larmer then acquired their stock brokerage licenses in NYC with Prudential Bache in the same graduating class.
Rob went on to specialize in grain trading with Thomson McKinnon Securities under the tutelage of Conrad Leslie who was the foremost grain crop forecaster trading out of the Chicago Board of Trade. Rob quickly became the largest retail grain trader in the country in the early 1980's
With an emphasis on trading, Rob then put his knowledge to use in the equities markets. Using a disciplined approach to investing first employed by Richard Dennis in the early 80's, utilizing position sizing, specific technical analysis, and fundamental knowledge, he has successfully navigated through forty years of markets.
He is a valuable resource on the team.
